@Margaret. He doesn’t need to be rational, just devious and scheming as is his modus operandi. Also, his form of insanity is driven by very specific goals - he wants to cut taxes for the very wealthy and he doesn’t care what he breaks to get that. Too bad that too many wealthy, influential, unethical people share Trump’s central goal.
But I wonder if it is his policies or some of his advisors. He seems to depend on others to make the important decisions and I think he isn't capable of making a rational decision.
@Margaret. You keep saying “rational” when you mention Trump’s thinking; in my view Trump’s thinking is exploitative, dishonest, deceptive, greedy and selfish. Anything BUT rational.
@Margaret Ann. I fear the midterm elections will come too late to avoid a major recession and wide business failures. We still need to put Democrats in control of Congress but I worry the pain will be severe before that.
I completely agree with you. Looking at the current makeup of the democratic party I fear we really can't count on them to fight. Just look at James Carville's advice to the dems. He thinks they should just sit back and let Trump and his friends break everything and that will insure them being elected in the midterms. That is how Biden was elected and what did that really get us. We need and must demand a change, not just "not Trump". I think it will take the people in the streets and the Independents to stop this trainwreck. I also think many dems who are silent may be primaried.
I'm waiting for Trump to issue an Executive Order to the climate saying it has to do as he wishes!
I doubt Trump is capable of rational thought! He is a person of impulse! He is insane!

If you read what I wrote I said he isn't capable of rational thought!!!!
Yes . I understood you. He is not rational but he doesn’t need to be given he is a deceitful grifter. I think we agree.
Thanks so much for your attention to what is going on and your work in pointing out the real intentions of those currently in charge.
