Civics Lesson

And remembering the courage of our Founders

FRED BIERY, UNITED STATES DISTRICT JUDGE, in a decision ordering a 5 year old child to be freed from ICE detention, has given a good lesson in how to respond to this regime. The judge was quite civil in his language and his decision.

The judge, articulate, compassionate, learned, witty and direct basically instructed the whole bunch of undereducated, micro-cephalic cretins who support Trump just how wrong they are. Judges who support Trump and ordinary voters who support Trump should take this lesson to heart and start behaving in accordance with the examples set by our founders and the brave pioneers of the 13 colonies who would not tolerate an abusive, tyrannical king.

No American, regardless of partisan leanings, should tolerate the abuse of our fellow citizens nor the abuse of those who seek to join our project in seeking a more perfect union. Rule of law and due process are in place to administer immigration humanely. Those who use violence are truly ignorant of their own history and of their own prospects to prosper, or even survive, under a regime such as Trump and other oligarchs envision.

Un-civil postscript: When Trump is finally buried, I hope people will shit in the hole before it is covered over...
